Hull Target Campbell Set For Spurs As Part Of United's Berbatov Bid?

Manchester United are reportedly ready to offer young striker Fraizer Campbell to Tottenham Hotspur as part of the deal to lure Bulgarian International Dimitar Berbatov away from White Hart Lane, according to the News of the World.

United and Spurs have been locking horns over the transfer of Berbatov to Old Trafford all summer. With the Premier League Champions already having an offer of £25million turned down as the North London side holds out for their £28million valuation of the forward.

Although United have reportedly offered incentives and add-ons to their offer, Spurs have stood firm over their prize asset and the two sides have remained at loggerheads over the transfer.

Until now, with reports that United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to offer England Under-21 striker Campbell as part of the deal. Something which will frustrate Hull City, who have reportedly made a £7million club record offer to sign the player that spent last season on loan at the KC Stadium.

This could appeal to Spurs boss Juande Ramos, who still needs to bring at least one more striker to the club, following the capture of Roman Pavlyuchenko from Spartak Moscow on Saturday.

Should the offer of Campbell be enough to let Spurs allow Berbatov to make his dream move to the Red Devils. It would draw a line under one of the most protracted transfers of the summer.
