Spanish International Delighted At Spurs & Barca Link

Tottenham Hotspur and FC Barcelona target Sevilla midfielder Diego Capel has revealed that he is delighted to be linked with moves to such big clubs.

20-year-old Spanish International Capel has been linked with a move to White Hart Lane all summer, with Spurs boss Juande Ramos a huge admirer of the left winger at his former club.

La Liga giants Barca have also reportedly been interested in prising Capel away from the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, after letting Capel leave the Nou Camp youth set-up for the Rojiblancos in 2001.

However, while Capel is delighted to be attracting attention from Spurs and Barcelona, he claims that he only knows what has been written in the press and not if there have been any firm offers for his services.

“The truth is that I'm only aware of what is written in the press,” Capel told AS.

“Saying I don't like it would be a lie. Who doesn't like being appreciated by the best clubs?

“My aspiration is growing up as a footballer. I've always said I'm playing for a great club and want to succeed here, but nobody ever knows what their fate is.

“You have to analyse things when they happen to you, without worry. I only think day by day.”
