TRANSFER UPDATE: United Seal £30.75million Deal For New No:9 Berbatov, With Campbell to Join Spurs

Manchester United have completed the signing of Dimitar Berbatov from Tottenham Hotspur for £30.75million, with the Bulgarian International to wear the number 9 shirt at the Premiership Champions.

Berbatov has been the subject today of late bids by Manchester City, who are believed to have offered in excess of £30million for the classy striker, along with Real Madrid, who were reportedly ready to pay £36.5million for Berbatov.

The 27-year-old had already spoken to City today, with it understood that the new owners ADUG offered the forward a staggering £150,00-a-week to make the move to the Eastlands side of Manchester.

However, Berbatov has made the choice to realise what he had called his dream and made the switch to Old Trafford for a fee of £30.75million, with striker Fraizer Campbell leaving in the opposite direction to White Hart Lane on a season-long loan and not Hull City, who had made a £7million offer for the England Under-21 International.

Spurs have agreed to drop the formal complaint to the Premier League as part of the deal which finally saw this long saga come to an end at the death of the transfer deadline.
