Arsenal v Everton Premiership Preview: Fabregas Set To Play With Broken Nose For Gunners – Cahill Still Suspended For Toffees

Arsenal take on David Moyes’ Everton in their Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will be hoping his North London side can improve on their league form before the International break. Which saw Arsenal lose to Premiership debutantes Hull City at the Emirates and then scrape a draw against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light in their last two games. Arsenal stand 4th in the table and three points against Everton are crucial for Wenger as the Gunners look to get their season back on track.

The Toffees will also be hoping that the International break will see a turn in their fortunes, with the Merseyside club hovering above the relegation places and without a win since their 3-2 victory over Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on September 14th.

Arsenal will be without captain William Gallas (hamstring), Bacary Sagna (knee) and Niklas Bendtner (ankle) for the visit of Everton, with long-term absentees Tomas Rosicky and Eduardo still missing. However, Wenger is set to include Abou Diaby for the first time this season, while Cesc Fabregas will play, despite breaking his nose on International duty for Spain. Robin van Persie and Johan Djourou will face late fitness tests, but are expected to be in the squad to face the Toffees.

Moyes is unable to call on Tim Cahill, who is still unavailable through suspension and will wait until the last moment to let captain Phil Neville recover from a hamstring, while Lars Jacobsen could feature if the defender shakes off his shoulder injury. Andy Van Der Meyde will miss the clash with the Gunners due to a hamstring injury.
