Serie A giants AC Milan are lining up a £35million January bid to lure Spanish International Cesc Fabregas away from Arsenal, according to Tuttosport.
Gunners midfielder Fabregas is no stranger to transfer speculation, with the 21-year-old EURO 2008 Winner constantly being linked with La Liga Champions Real Madrid along with a return to Catalan side Barcelona, who he left as a 16-year-old to join Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal team.
While the Spaniard has always maintained a desire to return to the Nou Camp in the future the Rossoneri are desperate to bring the young Spaniard to the San Siro. With Milan reportedly ready to test the resolve of the board at Arsenal, with an offer they will find hard to turn down.
Fabregas has made 146 appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal, but has only one FA Cup Winners medal to show for his five-years at the North London club. Fabregas has hinted earlier in the summer, that while he is happy at the Gunners he could consider a move if Arsenal continue to fail to win trophies.
However, should Fabregas decide to leave the Emirates Stadium in search of trophies at another club, Barca his boyhood team would be the most likely destination, with close friend and former Arsenal team-mate Alexander Hleb already at the Blaugrana after his summer transfer from the Emirates.
