Russian Starlet Fancies Chelsea Not Real Madrid Switch

CSKA Moscow starlet Alan Dzagoev has revealed that it is Premier League club Chelsea he would prefer rather than La Liga Champions Real Madrid, with both clubs being recently linked to the rising star of Russian football.

18-year-old Dzagoev has been at CSKA since 2007 and has scored 8 goals in 15 games for the Russian side, which has already earned him 2 full International caps as well as alerting Los Merengues and the Blues to the young talent.

It is understood that Real sent scouts to watch the young prodigy in CSKA’s UEFA Cup clash with Deportivo La Coruna, where the Dzagoev scored twice and is believed to be high on the Spanish clubs list of targets when the transfer window reopens in January.

However, Dzagoev when asked about a possible switch to the Bernabeu revealed that he is a big admirer of Luiz Felipe Scolari’s Chelsea side and had been following them in the Premiership for four years and would favour a move to Stamford Bridge.

“I am hopeful of remaining at CSKA Moscow for many years to come,” Dzagoev told Sport Express.

“There are many examples of players who moved abroad at a young age and then returned.

“The club that I fancy is Chelsea, and I have been following them for four years now.”
