Wenger Reveals Double Injury Blow For Arsenal

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that the Gunners will be missing captain William Gallas for the clash with Premier League debutantes Stoke City on Saturday, with Emmanuel Eboue also a doubt for the trip to the Britannia Stadium.

Both players picked up knocks in the 4-4 North London derby thriller against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday, with Wenger revealing that former Chelsea defender Gallas has a hamstring problem, while Ivory Coast International Eboue has a knee injury, but will face a late fitness test before Wenger takes a decision on whether he will join the squad to take on the Potters.

“It looks like Gallas will be out and maybe Eboue too,” Wenger told Arsenal TV Online.

“We’ll assess him tomorrow.

“It is a little recurrence of the hamstring for William and for Manu it is his knee. He is not running properly at the moment. He still has pain there.”
