West Brom To Make Loan Swoop For Argentine?

West Bromwich Albion are considering a loan deal for transfer target Oscar Trejo from Spanish club Real Mallorca, with Baggies manager revealing that he is still interested in the Argentine striker, who he wanted to bring to the Hawthorns in the summer with team mate Borja Valero.



20-year-old Trejo was heavily linked with a move to West Brom in the summer, but Baggies manager Tony Mowbray baulked at the £4million valuation of the Argentine by the La Liga side. However, Trejo is not a regular starter for Mallorca and has now set his sights on a reunion with former team Borja Valero, who joined the Midlands club from Mallorca in the summer and has been an instant success in the Premier League.

"He’s not in Majorca’s team at the moment, Mowbray told the Birmingham Mail. “He’s a young lad.”

Trejo’s agent Martan Paledes claimed recently that his client is open to a move to the Premiership and that he would do all he could to help the transfer go through, with a loan deal for Trejo now being mooted due to a reported lack of funds at the Midlands club.

Paledes said: “We are waiting for a meeting with West Brom and we will try to help them sign Trejo.”

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has been linked with a move for Venezuelan International Juan Arango, who currently plays for La Liga side Real Mallorca. As the Spurs boss looks to put his ‘wheeler dealer’ reputation into practice at White Hart Lane by searching for some January transfer bargains.

Arango has been at Mallorca since joining from Mexican side Puebla in 2004 and has scored 37 goals in 146 La Liga appearances for the Barralets during his four-years at the ONO Estadi.

Arango has less than 18-months remaining on his current contract at the Balearic island club and despite being a pivotal figure for Mallorca coach Gregorio Manzano in helping the club finish 7th in La Liga last season. Is understood to want to test himself in the Premiership.
