Arsenal Target Giovinco Ready For January Move?

Juventus starlet Sebastian Giovinco could be heading for a January move to Premier League club Arsenal, with the midfielder’s future at La Vecchia Signora in doubt due to lack of first-team opportunities along with not being offered the deal he was after at Juve, according to Leggo.

21-year-old Giovinco is demanding a €1million-a-year deal to stay at the Serie A giants, with the Turin club not willing to meet his demands, despite Giovinco being regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Italian football.

The Italian International is also unhappy about the amount of playing time he is receiving under coach Claudio Ranieri, having only featured for 25 minutes so far this season in a Champions League qualifier against minnows Artmedia.

Attacking-midfielder Giovinco did not even make the bench for the Champions League match against UEFA Cup holders Zenit St Petersburg, having claimed in the summer he needs to play with continuity, something that is clearly not happening at Juventus.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger had been linked with Giovinco in the summer, with the Juve Players agent even claiming that his client could make the switch to the Emirates Stadium, should Juventus not meet Giovinco’s salary demands.

Wenger could now be tempted to make a January swoop for Giovinco, with it believed it would cost in the region of €7.5million to prise the young prodigy away from the Serie A side.
