Spanish International Cesc Fabregas believes that Arsenal team-mate Theo Walcott can become one of the best players in the world if he fulfils his potential at the Emirates Stadium.
19-year-old Walcott joined the Gunners in 2006 from Southampton, but has only just started to shine in the Premier League and on the International stage, with the striker scoring a hat-trick in England’s 4-1 away win in Croatia in a vital World Cup qualifier earlier this month.
Fabregas believes that now Walcott’s confidence is high the England International has the mental strength to achieve anything he wants in football.
“Confidence is so important in football it’s unbelievable,” Fabregas told FourFourTwo.com.
“He (Theo) is the same player, but with maybe 300 times more confidence and that makes a really big change.
“Football is nearly 80 percent in your mind. You can have the talent but if you don’t have the head you will go no where, but Theo has got both.
“With the confidence he has now got he could be nearly unstoppable. He makes his runs really well and as soon as he starts making the right decisions – when he can pass, when he can dribble – I think he will probably be one of the best players in the world in three years.”
