Chelsea Boss Scolari Sweating On Kalou & Cole Fitness Ahead Of Champions League Clash

Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari is sweating on the fitness of England International Joe Cole and striker Salomon Kalou ahead of the Blues Champions League trip to Romania to face CFR Cluj.

Cole was forced to sit out Chelsea’s 2-0 victory against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday, while former Feyenoord player Kalou had to be withdrawn at half-time with an ankle injury against the Potters.

Scolari, who is already without Portuguese pair Deco and Ricardo Cavarlho, along with Michael Essien has now revealed that he is unsure if Kalou and Cole will travel with the rest of the squad at Stamford Bridge for the European tie.

“I don't know [for Kalou] because it's the second time in the same leg, I wish and I think for Romania it is okay," Scolari told the Chelsea official website.

“For Joe [Cole], I say nothing until tomorrow, but Deco and Ricardo [Carvalho] are out.”
