Fabregas: City Move 'Would Be Suicidal For My Career'

EURO 2008 Winner Cesc Fabregas is adamant that if Manchester City were to try and lure the Arsenal midfielder away from the Emirates Stadium, he would not leave, with the 21-year-old revealing that he thought “It would be suicidal for my career” if he moved to City at his age.

City have been widely reported this week as willing to make huge offers for the top world stars of the game in the January transfer window, with Spanish International Fabregas along with Cristiano Ronaldo and Fernando Torres all on the shopping list of new owner’s the ADUG.

However, Fabregas has moved quickly to claim that a move to Manchester would make no sense, with the Spaniard stating his desire to stay at the Gunners more than once this summer after the annual Real Madrid links surfaced again.

Fabregas, who is back in Spain for the World Cup qualifiers told Daily Sport: “It would be suicidal for my career at my 21 years of age to move to City. It would make no sense.”

Fabregas has been at Arsenal since joining from the Barcelona youth set up in 2003 and is an integral part of Arsene Wenger’s team, with the Frenchman sure to fight any attempt to sign his midfield maestro.
