Hull's Cousin In Line For Premier League Bow

Hull City manager Phil Brown could give new summer signing from Glasgow Rangers, striker Daniel Cousin his Premier League debut for the Tigers against Everton on Sunday after Craig Fagan broke his leg against Newcastle United last week.

31-year-old Cousin arrived at the KC Stadium from the “Old Firm’ side in a £1.5million deal on transfer deadline day, but has yet to play for the Yorkshire club. This is due to the Gabon International being sent off in his last game for the SPL giants against Celtic and has had to serve a three-match ban.

However following the horrific tackle on Fagan by Danny Guthrie at St James’ park last week, Brown now looks set to hand Cousin his Premiership debut.

Brown told the Mail: “Daniel Cousin has looked sharp in training but I've been more than impressed with the attitudes of all my players.

“I've got a selection problem with Craig Fagan out but we've got the option of changing the system.

“There's the possibility of calling on Geovanni again or looking at Caleb Folan. Daniel Cousin could also come in for his first appearance. Dean Windass is in my thoughts and is fighting for a place as well.

“The competition for places is very high now and I'm looking forward to seeing who is ready to take their chance.”
