Moyes Says No Deal

Everton manager David Moyes has denied reports that he has signed a new deal with the Toffees, but has conceded that his future at Goodison Park should be resolved soon, with the Scotsman expected to put pen to paper at the Merseyside club.

Moyes, who has been at the helm of Everton since 2002 had been linked tenuously with the manager’s job at Newcastle United, with speculation mounting due to the former Preston North End boss not signing a new deal with the Toffees.

However, Everton are confident Moyes will sign a new deal, something which was echoed by Moyes, who has revealed that something will be done shortly, but dismissed suggestions that he had already signed a new contract with the Premier League club as “not the case”.

“That's not the case,” Moyes told the club's official website.

“The contract is with the club at the moment and hopefully we will get something done shortly."
