Newcastle United are believed to have parted company with manager Kevin Keegan, according to reports on Tuesday.
Keegan came back to St James’ Park in January for a second spell as the Magpies boss and after a shaky start to his second stint started to appear to be pulling the North East club in the right direction.
However, it has now emerged that Keegan is understood to have left Newcastle following a meeting with the clubs hierarchy early on Tuesday.
One of the issues that had been troubling keegan was the enforced sale of James Milner to Aston Villa, who Keegan did not want to see leave for Villa Park.
Though it is not known if Keegan has resigned or indeed been sacked by Newcastle it is understood that he has parted company with the club for a second time.
If he did walk out on the Toon it would be the second time Keegan has quit Newcastle, having walked away in 1997 after they failed to win the Premier League.
