PSV's Salcido: 'Liverpool Will Be Very Worried About The Clubs In Their Group'

Mexican International Carlos Salcido has claimed that Liverpool will ‘be very worried’ about the teams they will face in their Champions League Group, with the PSV Eindhoven defender also insisting that the group will not be an easy one to qualify from.

Liverpool have been drawn in the same group as the Eredivisie Champions, along with Olympique Marseille of Ligue 1 and La Liga side Atletico Madrid, with the group stages of the competition getting underway this week.

Salcido, who was reportedly a summer target for Premiership team Wigan Athletic has also claimed that winning at home is an obligation for all of the Anfield clubs opponents in Europe’s premier club competition.

“I think Liverpool will be very worried about the clubs in their group,” said Salcido.

“They'll have to play well if they want to get points in Eindhoven, Marseille or (Atletico) Madrid.

“The group isn't an easy one. Winning at home is an obligation for all.”
