New Manchester United signing Bulgarian international Dimitar Berbatov has revealed that he believes his best years are ahead of him after his deadline beating £30.75million transfer from Tottenham Hotspur.
27-year-old Berbatov finally was able to make what he called his dream move to United late on Monday night, with the striker signing a four-year deal at Old Trafford, which inclided Fraizer Campbell going to Spurs as part of the deal.
However, despite the huge price-tag that Berbatov has arrived at the Premier League Champions with the forward is adamant that the fans of United will see the best of him.
Berbatov told MUTV: “I've handled expectation and pressure throughout my life - I'm not scared of that. That's why I'm here.
“The most important thing is to enjoy myself, help the team win more trophies and to thank the fans. If I do that and show what I can do like I did at Tottenham, I don't think they'll be any problems.
“I hope my peak years are still to come. I'm 27 years old and now is my time.
“This is perhaps the last club in my career and the biggest club in the world. I feel I can develop in the way I want here and the way I've always wanted. That's the most important thing.”
