West Ham United have completed the signing of Hungarian teenage sensation Balint Bajner on an initial season-long loan deal from Romanian team CF Liberty Oradea.
17-year-old Bajner made 25 appearances for Liberty last season and the young striker is regarded as one of the brightest talents in Hungarian football. Bajner has also been capped at Under-19 level for Hungary.
Bajner had trials with the Hammers, Inter Milan and Lazio earlier this year, but has decided on a loan move to Upton Park, with a view to making the transfer permanent next summer.
Hungary Under-19 coach Tibor Sisa is in no doubt that the young Romanian is heading to the very top of football.
“Balint is a very good young player who is heading for the top,” he told The Sun.
“He is technically gifted and developing well. In spring, his club sent him over to England for a trial.
“He did well then and I am sure he will be a success.”
