West Ham United have completed a double swoop on Tuesday for the season-long loan signings of David Di Michele from Torino and Herita LLunga from Ligue 1 side Toulouse.
32-year-old Di Michele had been at Torino since joining from Palermo in 2007, but has failed to make an impact in Turin, with the striker making a solitary appearance for the Granata. Di Michele has been capped for Italy six times.
26-year-old defender Llunga had been at Toulouse since joining from Saint-Etienne last summer and has 35 caps for the Congo Democratic Republic.
The Hammers have also confirmed that they are in talks with Ghanaian captain Stephen Appiah, who is a free agent after having his contract annulled by Fenerbahce earlier in the summer.
The statement read: “The club recognise the lateness of this announcement but certain formalities including the release of International transfer certificates had to be completed.
“West Ham can also confirm discussions with Ghana midfielder Stephen Appiah are ongoing.”
