Arsenal Legend Henry Tells Barca To Break The Bank For Fabregas & Walcott?

La Liga giants Barcelona are preparing a sensational £50million double swoop when the transfer window reopens in January, with Arsenal’s Cesc Fabregas and Theo Walcott the targets for the Catalan club, according to reports on Spanish radio.

The Blaugrana have been linked with 21-year-old Fabregas recently after a summer spent chasing Gunners striker Emmanuel Adebayor, which ended when Barcelona refused to meet the personal terms of the Togolese International. However, the interest in Adebayor has cooled since Samuel Eto’o has come back into favour under coach Pep Guardiola at the Nou Camp.

Fabregas did reveal recently that he would like a return to La Liga one day with Barca, the club he left as a 16-year-old to join Arsenal, but has also insisted that he is happy at the Emirates Stadium for the time being under the guidance of manager Arsene Wenger.

It is understood that the Catalan club are prepared to lure Fabregas and England International Walcott away from the Premier League at all costs. With Spanish radio claiming that Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has informed the hierarchy at the Nou Camp that the EURO 2008 winner and 18-year-old Walcott are the best prospects at the North London club.

Wenger will be sure to resist any move from the La Liga side to lure two of his key players away from the Premier League, but while it is unlikely that former Southampton player Walcott will leave the Emirates, Fabregas could be tempted to leave Arsenal, with the midfielder also hinting recently that he could move if the Gunners fail to end their three-year run without a trophy.
