Bolton v Blackburn Premiership Preview: Elmander Set To Start For Trotters – Robinson back, But Santa Cruz Out For Rovers

Gary Megson’s Bolton Wanderers take on Blackburn Rovers in their Premier League match at the Reebok Stadium on Saturday.

The International break came at the wrong time for the Trotters, with Bolton recording their first win in the Premier League since the opening day, beating West Ham United 3-1 at Upton Park. Bolton are just above the relegation places in the Premiership and will hope to collect all three points in the North West derby with Blackburn.

Paul Ince take his Rovers side to the Reebok in good form, despite their 2-1 loss to Manchester United at Ewood Park before the World Cup qualifiers, with Blackburn winning the previous two games against Fulham and Newcastle United. Ince will see this derby as an opportunity to take all three points as the former Manchester United player continues to impress in his first season as a Premier League boss.

Bolton have a fully fit squad to call on at the Reebok, with record signing Johan Elmander expected to lead the attack along with Kevin Davies.

Ince is unable to call on Paraguayan International Roque Santa Cruz (hamstring) or long-term absentee David Dunn, with Steven Reid ruled out for the season with a knee injury. However, Keeper Paul Robinson is set to take his place in goal again after recovering from a calf strain.
