Liverpool's Torres & Gerrard Join United's Ferdinand & Ronaldo Plus Terry Of Chelsea On FifPro Team

No fewer than five players from the Premier League have been included in the FifPro Team, which is voted for by the players of over 40 associations.

Liverpool have two players in the team, captain Steven Gerrard and Spanish International Fernando Torres as do European Champions Manchester United, who’s playmaker Cristiano Ronaldo and defender Rio Ferdinand have both been included, with the fifth player being Chelsea captain John Terry.

La Liga Champions Real Madrid have goalkeeper Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos in the team, but it is Barcelona that have the largest representation, with Carlos Puyol, Xavi and Argentine Lionel Messi all included.

This seems to show the strength of the Premier League and La Liga in Spain, with the only player in Italy to make the team being current FIFA World Player of the Year, Kaka at AC Milan, which appears to confirm the present decline of Italian football.
