Man City, Inter & Real Madrid Ready To Swoop As Tevez's United Deal In Doubt?

Manchester City, Real Madrid and Inter Milan are reportedly all interested in Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez, with it believed that the Argentine International’s permanent move to Old Trafford is in doubt unless the owners of his registration Media Sports Investments reduce their £34million asking price.

24-year-old Tevez’s two-year loan deal at the Premier League Champions ends in the summer, with United yet to make the former West Ham United players move permanent and are believed to be unwilling to spend the balance of £28million to secure the signature of Tevez, having already paid MSI £6million to have the striker on the two season loan.

United appear less eager to sign Tevez since the arrival of Dimitar Berbatov from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer. With Red Devils manager Sir Alex Ferguson preferring the combination of Wayne Rooney and Berbatov to lead the attack for the European Champions, which has seen Tevez sit on the sidelines and omitted from the squad entirely for the 4-0 win against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

However, the stance United are taking could backfire, with a source close to Tevez’s agent Kia Joorabchian revealing that their has been interest from several clubs, both in the Premiership and abroad, according to the Sunday Mirror.

A source close to Joorabchian told the Sunday Mirror: “Kia is very relaxed about the whole Tevez situation because he knows if United don't want to do a deal, some of the world's biggest clubs will want to do business.

“But the situation is that Carlos is very happy at United and that is the club he wants to play for.”

Ferguson insists that Tevez will remain a United player, with the Scotsman confident that the negotiations will be completed soon, despite going on for some time now.

Ferguson said: “Negotiations have been going on for quite a few weeks so hopefully it will be completed. I don't have any message for Carlos. He knows how well we've treated him.”

Whether Tevez remains at Man United or not next summer could depend on the number of appearances the forward makes now that Berbatov is at the club. With the Eastlands Stadium, Bernabeu and the San Siro all reportedly ready to offer the Argentine an alternative to Old Trafford.
