Arsenal Legend Henry Open To January Liverpool Move?

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry could be set for a sensational return to the Premier League with Liverpool after reports of a bust-up with Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola over his lack of opportunities to play in a central striking role for the Catalan side, according to reports.

31-year-old Henry made the switch from the Emirates Stadium to the Nou Camp only last summer, but despite ending the La Liga season as Barca’s top overall goalscorer has seen himself watch from the sidelines as Guardiola plays the in form Samuel Eto’o through the centre.

While Henry has maintained that there is nothing to talk about for the time being. It is believed that the Gunners record goalscorer would consider a January move back to the Premiership should his situation at the Blaugrana not improve.

Henry said yesterday: “For the moment, there is nothing to talk about. But if this continues, of course we will have to talk about it.

“It is true that I had talks with the coach before the start of the season. For me, the talks were clear.”

Reds boss Rafa Benitez is reportedly interested in bringing Henry to Anfield as cover for Fernando Torres and Robbie Keane. The French International is also keen on a move back to England so he can see more of his daughter Tea, who lives in England with Henry’s estranged wife.

Henry has always maintained that he could only love Arsenal in the Premier League, but did reveal before that Liverpool’s ground Anfield had an ‘unbelievable’ atmosphere.

Henry said: “For my first few years at Arsenal we didn't do well there, but we improved.

“It's the atmosphere I love. It's unbelievable.

“I've played in a lot of stadiums but for me there is nothing like playing at Liverpool."

“Nothing can beat Highbury, of course, but playing at Anfield was great.

“The fans always sing and hold up their scarves before and after the game - whether they have won or lost.

“It must be amazing if you are a Liverpool player.”
