Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari has revealed that he knows all about Tuesday’s Champions League opponents CFR Cluj and insists that the Blues will not be caught out by the Romanian minnows like Serie A side AS Roma.
Cluj caused a major shock in the first round of the group games by beating the Giallorossi 2-1 in the Stadio Olimpico, but unlike the Italian side Scolari insists his Stamford Bridge side will be ready to face Cluj, who are in the Champions League group stages for the first time.
Scolari has revealed that he followed them closely, while in charge of the Portuguese national side, with the Romanian’s having 11 Portuguese players at the club. So the Brazilian knows what to expect.
“I know about Cluj. I know more than you think,” Scolari revealed.
“I know they have 11 Portuguese people playing there, and I follow them. When I was with the Portugal national team, I heard news about Cluj every week.
“I have all the information I need about them. I have told my players what to expect.”
