Giovanni: I Believe Spurs Have A Big, Big Future

New Tottenham Hotspur signing Giovani Dos Santos is determined to play his part in what he believes will be big future for the North London side.

19-year-old Giovanni arrived at White Hart Lane in a £4.7million five-year deal from La Liga giants Barcelona during the summer, but has been used sparingly by Tottenham manager Juande Ramos in what has been a poor start to the Premier League season for Spurs.

However, the Mexican International has impressed in his four appearances for Tottenham and made a difference when coming on as a substitute in the Carling Cup win over Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Wednesday.

The young midfielder has also revealed that he chose Spurs ahead of other offers as he saw Tottenham as the right place to develop his talent, with the Mexican insisting that Spurs have a big future.

Giovanni told Tottenham's official magazine Hotspur: “I'm looking for opportunities to grow as a player and I saw Spurs as the kind of place where I could really develop.

“I did have other offers, but Spurs was the club I keenly wanted to come to because I know this team is really developing.

“I believe this club has a big, big future and I want to play my part in that. Now I'm here, I'm really happy.”
