Man City Made Ruud Offer To Real Madrid?

New Manchester City owner’s the ADUG, who were involved in making offers for some of Europe’s biggest footballing stars on transfer deadline day. Including the British record signing of Robinho for £32.5million (€40m) from La Liga Champions Real Madrid. Also made an audacious offer for former Manchester United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy, according to Marca.

The ADUG are clearly intent on flexing their financial muscle in the world of football, with this offer to bring Dutch International striker to the Eastlands Stadium a prime example, along with reported offers for Dimitar Berbatov, David Villa and Mario Gomez on transfer deadline day.

However, the exact amount of the offer by the Premier League club for van Nistelrooy is not known, though Marca reports that spokesman for the ADUG, Dr Al-Fahim presented a cheque to Bernabeu president Ramon Calderon, but the president of Los Merengues did not give in to temptation, even though this cheque was allegedly for a ‘extraordinary amount’ of money.

With a source close to the group revealing on Tuesday that the group would be prepared to pay £120million for Portuguese International Cristiano Ronaldo and go after EURO 2008 winner’s Fernando Torres and Cesc Fabregas. It is now seeming that City have the financial clout behind them to make a serious challenge to bring the Premiership title to the Eastlands for the first time.
