Middlesbrough take on Tony Mowbray’s West Bromwich Albion in their Premier League match at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday.
Boro boss Gareth Southgate will be looking for a reaction from his Middlesbrough squad after losing to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light last weekend and crashing out of the Carling Cup to Manchester United at Old Trafford in midweek. However, Boro are in 12th place in the Premiership, but will be hoping to recapture their winning ways against the Baggies, having lost their last three games in all competitions.
West Brom make the trip to the Riverside on the back of a defeat to Aston Villa at the Hawthorns last Sunday and despite picking up their first win against West Ham United the week before find themselves just above the bottom three.
Southgate will be without top-scorer Mido (hamstring) and Rhys Williams (knee), while Turkish International Tuncay Sanli could be in contention after knee ligament problems.
West Brom have seen Abdoulaye Meite (calf) and Chris Brunt (leg) join long-term absentees Felipe Teixeira (Knee) and Neil Clement (knee) on the treatment table at the Midlands club. However, Mowbray will be glad to welcome back striker Ishmael Miller after injury to lead the line.
