Tottenham Hotspur manager is believed to feel that Wigan Athletic striker Emile Heskey is the perfect strike-partner for new Spurs signing Roman Pavlyuchenko.
Ramos is keen to add a new striker to his squad at White hart Lane in the January transfer window, with Pavlyuchenko, Darren Bent and on loan Fraizer Campbell the only recognised forwards at the North London side.
Heskey was understood to be a target for Spurs during the summer, with the former Liverpool target-man out of contract at the JJB Stadium next summer, which means the Latics are likely to let the England International leave for a fee in January, rather than walk away as a free agent next summer.
With this in mind it is thought that Tottenham will make a move for Heskey in January and offer around £3million to bring the striker to White Hart Lane to form a partnership with Russian International Pavlyuchenko.
