Serie A giants Juventus are considering a January move for Ivory Coast International Emmanuel Eboue from Premier League side Arsenal, according to reports.
Juve have not enjoyed the best start to their Serie A campaign, with the defensive qualities at La Vecchia Signora being called into question, despite coach Claudio Ranieri bringing Christian Poulsen and Olof Mellberg to the Bianconeri during the summer.
Juventus had tried to sign Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic during the summer, but Blues manager Luiz Felipe Scolari refused to let the central-defender leave for Turin insisting that the Serbian was very much in his plans for this Premiership season.
Now it is understood that 25-year-old Eboue is on Ranieri’s radar, with a January move for the right-sided player being mooted in January.
Eboue has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium this season, with Gunners boss preferring to use England International Theo Walcott and Bacary Sagna on the right side and has made fleeting appearances on the right side of midfield. Which is reportedly not working out for the former Beveren player.
The Ivorian is said to be keen on Juve, if Ranieri can guarantee him first-team football in his preferred position at right-back.
