Spurs Boss Ramos Safe From Sack, But Comoli Set For Exit From White Hart Lane?

Under fire Tottenham Hotspur manager Juande Ramos has been told that his job at Spurs is safe, but sporting director Damien Comoli could be heading for the exit at White Hart Lane, according to reports.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is shocked at the North London clubs worst start to a season in 96 years, with Spurs finding themselves rock bottom of the Premier League without a win and only two points to show from their seven Premiership games.

A similar, but not so bad start to the last campaign saw Ramos’ predecessor Martin Jol ousted from the post almost a year ago, despite taking the club to successive 5th place finishes in the previous two seasons.

However, while Ramos is indeed under tremendous pressure to turn things around at Tottenham. The former Sevilla coach has reportedly been told at a meeting on Monday that his job along with that of assistant Gus Poyet is safe.

With Levy ready to wield the axe and sack Comoli, with many onlookers believing that the crisis at Spurs stems from the sporting director’s incompetence in the transfer market. After a summer of high profile comings and goings at White Hart Lane that saw Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane allowed to leave Tottenham, without being properly replaced. It now seems that Comoli will pay the ultimate price for his failings.
