Tottenham Hotspur are due to face Manchester United in the FA Cup fourth round at Old Trafford if United overcome Championship side Southampton in their third round clash.

The Red Devils and Spurs are both destined to meet at Wembley in the Carling Cup if they can overcome Derby County and Burnley respectively in their forthcoming semi-finals.

The only other, all Premier League fourth round tie pairs Liverpool and Everton together in a Merseyside derby at Anfield. Arsenal, have been drawn away to Cardiff City, while Fulham are away at non-league club Kettering Town. West Ham United must travel to Victoria Park to face League 1 side Hartlepool, who knocked Premiership club Stoke City out in the last round.

All fourth round FA Cup ties are to be played over the weekend of January 24-25th.

Premier League trio Fulham, Bolton Wanderers and West Bromwich Albion are all in the hunt to sign Dexter Blackstock at Championship side Queens Park Rangers, according to the Daily Mirror.

QPR’s West London neighbours Fulham are believed to be favourites to sign 22-year-old Blackstock, with the Cottagers understood to have sent scouts to watch the England Under-21 International in recent weeks. However, it is now understood that the Baggies and the Trotters are also keen to bring the former Southampton player to the Premiership.

The Super Hoops want Blackstock to commit his future to Loftus Road, but the striker is unsure as to whether to sign a new deal at QPR, which has alerted Bolton, West Brom and Fulham.

Blackstock has been at QPR since joining from the Saints in 2006 and has found the net 11 times this season, with The Hoops should they decide to let the forward leave ready to ask for as much as £4million for Blackstock, who was bought from Southampton by former manager Gary Waddock for £500,000.

The Baggies go into this game with Portsmouth knowing that nothing other than a win will do if they are to retain their Premier League status, with West Brom without a win in the last eight matches and only managing to pick up a solitary point out of 24 available in this period, which was against fellow strugglers Blackburn Rovers. West Brom are rock bottom of the Premiership, with the worst goal difference in the league and need to start picking up some points straight away, starting against Pompey.

Adams will be hoping that his Portsmouth side can keep their recent run going, with Pompey unbeaten in their last four games, which has seen them win against Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers and draw against Hull City and West Ham United. Pompey are 8th in the Premiership and despite being eliminated from the UEFA Cup on Thursday, will fancy the task at the Hawthorns on Sunday.

Argentine Striker To Hold Talks With West Brom

Real Mallorca striker Oscar Trejo is keen on a move to Premier League club West Bromwich Albion and is eager to start talks with the Baggies about a possible January switch to the Hawthorns.



20-year-old Trejo was heavily linked with a move to West Brom in the summer, but Baggies manager Tony Mowbray baulked at the £4million valuation of the Argentine by the La Liga side. However, Trejo is not a regular starter for Mallorca and has now set his sights on a reunion with former team Borja Valero, who joined the Midlands club from Mallorca in the summer and has been an instant success at the Hawthorns,

Trejo’s agent Martan Paledes has revealed that he is waiting for a meeting with West Brom and will try to help Mowbray sign the former Boca Juniors striker.

Baggies manager Tony Mowbray will be hoping his Midlands side can halt the run of five Premiership games without a win, which has seen West Brom only collect a single point from 15 available in a 2-2 draw with Blackburn Rovers at the beginning of the month. This has seen the Baggies slip to the bottom of the Premier League, with Mowbray likely to be happy to get anything out of the visit of Premiership pacesetters Chelsea.

Scolari might be on the top of the Premier League with Chelsea at the moment, but caught a rude awakening in English football when Championship side Burnley knocked the Blues out of the Carling Cup on penalties at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday. However, Chelsea have a 100% record away from home this season, scoring 16 and only conceding once in reply and will see a struggling West Brom as the ideal opposition to get back to winning ways.

'New Amr Zaki' Open To Premier League Move

Rising star of Egyptian football Sherif Ashraf has revealed that he is inspired to follow in the footsteps of this seasons surprise package in the Premier League, Amr Zaki, who is on loan from Ashraf’s current club Zamalek to Wigan Athletic.

21-year-old Ashraf joined Zamalek from Al Ahly in 2007, where the striker was known as ‘the goal machine’ for his exploits in rising through the youth set-up at the Egyptian side and has been prolific for the Egyptian Under-17 and Under-20 National side, with a call up to the full squad very much on the horizon for Ashraf.

“My main goal is to be successful with Zamalek and this will help me gain a place in the Egyptian national team squad. Although it is difficult to compete with the best strikers in Egypt, who are some of the best in Egyptian football history, including players such as Zaki, Mido, Zidan and Abou Treika, I am trying my best to get a call-up to the national team,” Ashraf told IMScouting.com.

“I am proud to be the top goal scorer in Egyptian youth competition history with more than 500 goals. I was the top scorer for more than 13 years, but I know this is not enough and I need to gain more experience.

“Amr Zaki is my favourite player and the team mate I used to most enjoy playing with at Zamalek last season. His success in the English Premier League is inspiring me to follow in his footsteps and that is the next stage I hope to progress to in my career.”

Ashraf has a market value of around £350,000, but it is understood that Zamalek are keen to offload the striker in a loan deal in an attempt to replicate the success of the Zaki deal with the Latics, who’s stock has soared since arriving in the Premiership this summer.

As Ashraf is fluent in English and is believed to have the character to adjust to a move to the Premier League, the forward could interest teams like Tottenham Hotspur, Bolton Wanderers, Sunderland, Everton, Middlesbrough, West Bromwich Albion or Stoke City, who are all in need of more firepower at their respective clubs.
